SANTO DOMINGO.- Los diputados del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), respaldaron apertura a clases de manera presencial debido a que las autoridades competentes en materia de salud así lo han establecido basadas en estadísticas.
A través de un comunicado leído por el diputado Norberto Ortiz, destacaron que el Ministerio de Salud, el Gabinete de Salud y el Colegio Médico Dominicano han manifestado que es seguro el regreso a las escuelas y que junto al Ministerio de Educación se seguirá aplicando el protocolo de bioseguridad para garantizar la protección de los estudiantes.
«Las evidencias científicas muestran que la escuela es el lugar más seguro contra la Covid-19 para estudiantes y profesores, ya que en diciembre del año pasado, al cierre de la docencia por el asueto navideño, cuando la tasa de positividad en el país era superior al 5.7 por ciento, en la comunidad educativa era del 1.56 por ciento, siendo en los estudiantes de apenas el 0.8 por ciento», explicaron.
Los legisladores entienden que la presencialidad en las aulas ayuda además a mitigar la carga emocional y psicológica del encierro que han venido sufriendo las familias producto de la pandemia por el covid-19 y que es un derecho fundamental poder continuar recibiendo conocimientos a través de las escuelas.
La bancada oficialista expresó también que cada día de clases perdido es un gran costo para el Estado, y un significado nivel de atraso para la sociedad en materia educativa, por lo que reitera el llamado que hiciera el Ministerio de Educación a que se reintegren a las clases tanto estudiantes como profesores.
