SANTO DOMINGO.- El Ministerio de Salud Pública de la República Dominicana notificó este jueves dos fallecimientos por covid-19 y 2,929 nuevos contagios con ese virus, 166 más que los 2,763 registrados en la víspera.
Detalló que en el país hay 17,353 casos activos y que 528,372 personas se han recuperado de la enfermedad.
PRUEBAS
Indicó que entre las 9:00 de la mañana del martes e igual hora del miércoles fueron procesadas 23,712 pruebas que detectaron 425 contagios en el Distrito Nacional, 547 en la provincia Santo Domingo, 473 en Santiago, 231 en la provincia Duarte, 219 en Valverde, 125 en San Juan, 118 en Dajabón, 99 en La Vega, 89 en La Romana, 70 en Puerto Plata, 73 en María Trinidad Sánchez y 87 en El Seibo.
4,295 MUERTOS
El total de muertos por covid-19 en el país es de 4,295, el 23.56% de los cuales era hipertenso y el 14.74% diabético.
Entre los infectados hay 2,260 trabajadores de la salud, 1,818 embarazadas y 61,912 menores de 20 años.
OCUPACION HOSPITALARIA
En República Dominicana hay disponibilidad de 2,373 camas para pacientes de COVID, 550 de las cuales (23%) están ocupadas.
Hay 585 camas en unidades de cuidados intensivos, 212 de ellas ocupadas (36%). De 469 ventiladores disponibles en la red hospitalaria, 129 están ocupados (28%).
