Autoridades trasladaron a la morgue del hospital municipal de La Romana los cadáveres de cuatro personas, que fallecieron este jueves en La Romana al zozobrar la embarcación donde se transportaban.
Las víctimas, tres mujeres y un hombre, no poseían ningún tipo de identificación aunque las autoridades sospechan que se trata de inmigrantes haitianos.
“Sólo encontramos en un cadáver 100 dólares y en otro 10 dólares”, dijo el médico legista Benito Queliz, .
El galeno indicó que de acuerdo al estado de los cuerpos, los mismos tenían de 8 a 10 horas ahogados.
En horas de la tarde de este jueves, los cuerpos fueron vistos flotando en las aguas de la Playa Caleta, en el área del Boquerón.
La recuperación de los cuerpos se produjo en el muelle de La Romana frente a la Armada dominicana.
En la mañana del viernes las autoridades activarán, nueva vez, la búsqueda bajo la sospecha de que otras tres personas también estarían desaparecidas porque ban en la lancha.
En el operativo pariticiparon miembros de la Defensa Civil y la Armada.
