Santo Domingo, 28 abr .- La embajada de China en la República Dominicana consideró hoy «apremiante» que se arreste a la mujer acusada de matar a un ciudadano chino la semana pasada en la ferretería en la que ambos trabajaban.
En un comunicado, la legación diplomática informó de que ha mantenido «estrecho y fluido contacto» con el Gobierno dominicano, con quien acordó «que lo más apremiante es el arresto de la perpetradora y tratar el caso de manera justa y de acuerdo con la ley».
El nacional chino Jhei Leet murió el jueves pasado tras ser herido con un arma blanca, supuestamente, por Franyelis María Furcal después de que se produjera una discusión entre ambos en la ferretería en la que trabajaban en el Ensanche Luperón, en el Distrito Nacional.
En su comunicado, la embajada destacó que la República Dominicana «cuenta con un ambiente social abierto, diversificado y de coexistencia entre diferentes razas» y que «los emigrantes chinos o dominicanos con origen chino son gente laboriosa y respetuosa a la ley».
Estos «saben integrarse activamente y retribuir a la sociedad local y han hecho y seguirán haciendo importantes contribuciones al desarrollo económico y social de la República Dominicana», agregó.
«En vista de lo arriba mencionado, esperamos que los diversos sectores puedan tomar este caso aislado con racionalidad, y que la prensa lo reporte con objetividad», concluyó la nota. EFE
