SANTO DOMINGO.- En República Dominicana la población pasa hambre debido al abandono del campo por parte del gobierno de Luis Abinader, consideró el miembro de la Dirección Política de la Fuerza del Pueblo (FP), César Fernández.
Dijo que una de las recomendaciones de este partido al Gobierno fue sembrar el campo a partir del 2020, pero «hicieron caso omiso y debido a esa insensatez hoy los dominicanos están pasando por uno de sus peores momentos, quizás nunca antes visto».
Fernández insistió en la necesidad de que los agricultores sean acompañados en todos los procesos de producción porque «no es suficiente otorgarles préstamos a tasa cero y luego soltarlo a su mejor suerte». A su juicio, es necesario un acompañamiento técnico-profesional para garantizar el éxito y un mejor aprovechamiento de las cosechas.
