Con el anuncio del ministro de Energía y Minas, Antonio Almonte, marcará la cuarta ocasión desde el año pasado en que se registrará un aumento en la tarifa eléctrica.
Este jueves, Almonte, al ser entrevistado en el programa “El Día” (Telesistema, canal 11), confirmó que la tarifa eléctrica incrementará en un 9 %, que significaría que la población pagaría entre 100 y 140 pesos más, principalmente en hogares donde se consuma hasta 300 kilovatios hora por mes.
Igualmente aclaró que no se trata de un incremento aleatorio, sino de uno programado, que responde a un “ajuste secuencial” contenido en el Pacto Eléctrico firmado por todos los sectores.
Esta serie de “ajustes” iniciaron en el pasado mes de noviembre, cuando el Gobierno informó del proceso de desmonte al subsidio eléctrico, además de un plan para instalar un nuevo régimen tarifario.
Tal medida se tradujo en aumentos de la tarifa eléctrica desde un 0.3% para las industrias y/o grandes comercios hasta 2.7 % para las residencias. En cambio los clientes residenciales percibieron un aumento de entre RD$47.71 y RD$53.89 en promedio en su factura eléctrica.
En los pequeños comercios el incremento fue de RD$31.99 y RD$41.25 en promedio; los grandes comercios tuvieron un incremento entre RD$423.81 y RD$892.61 más, y los clientes industriales y las zonas francas alrededor de RD$2,865.32.
Enero-marzo
Según reportajes periodísticos del archivo de LISTÍN DIAIRO, para el periodo comprendido entre los meses de enero a marzo, el cliente residencial que consumía de 301 a 700 kwh pagó una tarifa de RD$10.86 el kwh, y los que consumían más de 700 kwh, RD$11.10.
Asimismo, esta resolución abarcó un cargo fijo nuevo, de forma que de los RD$4.44 que se aplica al consumo de 100 kilovatios hora fuera de RD$5.66, y de 201 kwh a 300 kwh pasó de RD$6.97 a RD$7.99.
Abril-junio
Para este trimestre la tarifa eléctrica de los clientes residenciales aumentó en un 9 %. En esta ocasión la Superintendencia de Electricidad (SIE) justificó el incremento debido a “la volatilidad actual y generalizada en los precios internacionales del carbón mineral, el gas natural, el petróleo y los combustibles usados para la generación eléctrica”.
