SANTO DOMINGO.- El miembro del Comité Político del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), Yván Lorenzo, aseguró que su organización hará alianzas con todos los partidos interesados en que el país retorne a la estabilidad que, a su juicio, experimentó en los gobiernos peledeistas.
«El PLD es el partido de mayor concertación de la República Dominicana, lo que quiere decir que no solamente con la Fuerza del Pueblo nosotros vamos a llegar algún entendimiento, sino con todas las fuerzas vivas que tengan interés en quitarle esta pesadilla de encima al pueblo dominicano, que la representa el Gobierno de Luis Abinader y el PRM», sostuvo.
Consideró que los actuales casos de corrupción no comprometen al PLD, ya que quienes hasta el momento han aceptado su culpabilidad no son dirigentes del opositor partido morado.
Lorenzo sostuvo que el exdirector de la Oficina de Ingenieros Supervisores de Obras del Estado, Francisco Pagan, fue un funcionario en quien el expresidente Danilo Medina confió.
«Yo no conozco ningún peledeista que haya devuelto dinero, en el caso del señor Pagan hay que decir que él no es un dirigente, militante, ni simpatizante del PLD. El presidente Danilo Medina lo nombró porque creyó en la honradez que exhibía hasta ese momento, pero eso no compromete para nada el trabajo del PLD», señaló.
El vocero de los senadores peledeístas entiende que este gobierno no puede hablar de corrupción porque «en menos de dos años suman 18 los funcionarios que se han visto envueltos en casos de corrupción».
El senador de Elías Piña confía en que el pueblo dominicano va a valorar más las realizaciones que las denuncias de corrupción a la hora de decidir en el 2024.
