HAINA.- La Asociación de Industrias y Empresas de Haina y Región Sur entregó un reconocimiento al presidente Luis Abinader por haber declarado a la demarcación como el primer Distrito Industrial de la República Dominicana y por sus esfuerzos a favor de los sectores productivos.
El Mandatario recibió el reconocimiento durante una visita a las instalaciones de la organización, que recientemente celebró 40 años de fundada, donde fue recibido por su directiva, encabezada por el presidente de la entidad, Napoleón Rodríguez.
PIDEN REPARACIÓN DE CALLES
Napoleón Rodríguez solicitó a Abinader la reparación definitiva de las calles del nuevo Distrito Industrial, un problema que, dijo, ha estado latente desde hace años, pero que no ha sido asumido por las autoridades.
En una presentación gráfica expuso al Mandatario el estado deplorable en que se encuentran las vías de acceso a las industrias y a las comunidades.
Asimismo, la presidenta del Patronato Pro-Desarrollo de Haina y pasada presidenta de la organización empresarial, Bredyg Disla, propuso revisar la gestión del Politécnico de Haina a fin de seguir fortaleciéndose como centro de formación que mejora la vida de los jóvenes y de sus familiares.
El Distrito Industrial que integra a Haina y a Nigua está compuesto por 1,291 empresas, que proveen alrededor de 40 mil empleos. Empresas del área exportan bienes a 34 destinos por un monto promedio anual de US$237 millones.
La inversión proyectada para 2022 se estima en US$144 millones, agregando 4 mil 500 nuevos empleos.
